Specification Of Ball Transfer Strips

PBT Ball Transfer Strips are available with end tabs for mounting in conveyor lines or without end tabs for your own projects and applications.
Ball Transfer Strips are ideal for roller conveyor transfers and repositioning stations.
At the flip of a switch Omtec PBT Ball Transfer Units raise above the conveyor rollers to move items off of the conveyor line with minimal effort.
Flip the switch again Omtec PBT Ball Transfers retract below the conveyor ball rollers allowing items to move on the rollers unaffected by the ball transfer strips.
Omtec’s standard is to place the first and last pop up ball transfer 1.25 inches (31.75MM) C/L from each end of the main body (between frame dimension). The other pop ups are evenly spaced.
Omtec PBT Pop Up Ball Transfer Strips may be any length. The number of Ball Transfers on a strip may be varied and, located on any center lines desired. The minimum center line is 2 inches (50.8mm).

ball transfer strips

Omtec PBT Pneumatic Ball Transfers operate using air pressure supplied through a 0.180″ I.D. x 0.265″ O.D. polyurethane tube positioned under the strip between the first and last ball.

You can control Omtec Pop Up Ball Transfer Strips with almost any air control device. Most applications use simple non-electric foot or hand valves for operation. These units consume minimal air volume, making air usage negligible. Each up-and-down cycle of one ball uses just 0.00038 cubic feet (0.0000108 cubic meters) of air.

Strips can be use with electric solenoid valves can also be used. Control kits are available to support these setups, offering flexibility for a variety of system requirements.

Customization

We also provide customization.  Here is an example. A customer had ordered some Pop Up Strips about a month back. We modified the rails for space for a belt to run in the middle of the strips. I drilled a half inch notch in the middle of the bottom of the side rails and plumbed the tubing outside the rail so it wouldn’t touch the belt. this is an example of the custom solutions we provide for our customers. Providing value for our customers is why we are in business. Discovering new ways to solve the pain points is where we can set ourselves apart from the rest!
